Core DEF buff. Provides ATK and DEF +60%, doubling to +120% when countering. Synergizes with Stone Skin for extreme DEF while boosting output.
High-power same-type skill, 140 Energy but permanently reducible by taking hits. After enhancement, fixed 2 hits with trait, considerable output, suitable as main damage skill.
Priority skill with moderate 55 Energy. Mudroar's 95 Speed is moderately slow; Priority +1 ensures turn priority for handling priority situations or finishing off low-health targets.
Lead with Tailwind for immediate speed boost, then leverage speed advantage to spam Gust (triggering +50% power) or First Strike to suppress opponents. After speed buff, Fan Wind's before-enemy-attack condition is extremely easy to trigger, +50% power output is considerable, 75 energy cost is moderate
+1 priority Physical damage skill, almost guaranteed first strike after Ride the Wind, stable damage output while seizing tempo.
Higher DEF increases power; Mudroar has high base DEF of 109, further boosted by Mud Armor or Stone Skin for increased power, with 60 energy cost offering great value
Only use against pure physical attack teams or when confirming no special attack threat. Lead with Stone Skin for massive Physical Defense boost, use Mud Armor to double buffs after opponent attack triggers counter, then Sonic Sand Trap for high-power damage. Earth Crash for prolonged battles, becomes cheap high-power skill after energy reduction. Absolutely avoid facing special attackers.
